Commentary

Trijata is the one friend Sita has among her guards. Like Vibhishana and Lankini, she shows that goodness can be found even inside Lanka.

Verse 11.2

Commentary

Riding a donkey south, naked and shaven, were traditional omens of death and disgrace. The dream foretells Lanka's burning, which Hanuman carries out within days.
