What a puja vidhi covers
Puja Vidhi means "method of worship" — a step-by-step procedure for a ritual, listing what materials to prepare (flowers, incense, a diya, specific offerings), the order in which each is offered, and the mantras or verses recited at each step. It's the practical companion to the more conceptual explanations found on our mantra and aarti pages.
Why order matters
Puja isn't performed in an arbitrary sequence — each step traditionally builds on the last, from purification and invocation through to offerings and the closing aarti — and following the sequence is considered part of what makes the ritual complete rather than a loose collection of gestures.
