Commentary

Ravana kicks his brother in front of the whole court, and Vibhishana's response is to hold his feet. The contrast is deliberate.

Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)

rāmu satyasaṁkalpa prabhu sabhā kālabasa tori maiṁ raghubīra sarana aba jāum̐ dehu jani khori

Translation

"Rama is the Lord whose resolve always comes true, and your court is in the grip of Death. I am going now to take refuge with Raghubir; do not blame me."

Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)

Commentary

Vibhishana leaves openly, not in secret. He announces his decision before the whole court, so that no one can call his going a betrayal.
