Shakradi Stuti

medhāsi devi viditākhilaśhāstrasārā durgāsi durgabhavasāgaranaurasaṅgā śhrīḥ kaiṭabhārihṛidayaikakṛitādhivāsā gaurī tvameva śhaśhimaulikṛitapratiṣhṭhā

Translation

You are Medha, the intelligence that knows the essence of all scriptures; you are Durga, the boat across the hard-to-cross ocean of worldly life, free of attachment; you are Shri, who alone dwells in the heart of Vishnu, Kaitabha's foe; and you are Gauri, honoured by the moon-crowned Shiva.

Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)

Commentary

This verse unites the goddesses: Medha (wisdom, like Saraswati), Durga, Shri (Lakshmi, consort of Vishnu) and Gauri (Parvati, consort of Shiva). They are all one Devi. The name Durga is explained here as "the boat across the durga," the hard-to-cross ocean of samsara.
