Translation
Hearing these words of the gods, Madhusudana (Vishnu) and Shambhu (Shiva) grew angry, their faces twisted with knitted brows.

देवताओं के ये वचन सुनकर मधुसूदन (विष्णु) और शम्भु (शिव) क्रोधित हुए, उनकी भौंहें तन गईं और मुख टेढ़े हो गए।
Commentary
The anger of Vishnu and Shiva is righteous: it rises against injustice. It is from this blazing anger that the Devi takes form.
