एतद्वः कथितं सर्वममरारिविचेष्टितम् । शरणं वः प्रपन्नाः स्मो वधस्तस्य विचिन्त्यताम् ॥ ८ ॥
etadvaḥ kathitaṁ sarvamamarārivicheṣhṭitam śharaṇaṁ vaḥ prapannāḥ smo vadhastasya vichintyatām
Translation
We have told you everything the enemy of the gods has done. We have come to you for refuge; think how he may be slain."
Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)
देवशत्रु की यह सारी करतूत हमने आपसे कह दी। हम आपकी शरण में आए हैं; उसके वध का उपाय सोचिए।"
Commentary
Sharanam prapannah smah, "we have come for refuge": the language of surrender. The Devi will be born from the response to this surrender.
