Translation
The thirty gods told the two of them, exactly as it had happened, all that Mahishasura had done and how the gods had been overthrown.

देवताओं ने उन दोनों से महिषासुर की करतूत और देवताओं की पराजय का पूरा वृत्तांत ज्यों-का-त्यों विस्तार से कह सुनाया।
Commentary
Tridasha, "the thirty," is a traditional name for the gods (a round number for the thirty-three). They report honestly and in full, the first step toward help.
