जगद्विध्वंसिनि तस्मिन् महोग्रेऽतुलविक्रमे । निशुम्भे च महावीर्ये शेषाः पातालमाययुः ॥ ३५ ॥
jagadvidhvaṁsini tasmin mahogre’tulavikrame niśhumbhe cha mahāvīrye śheṣhāḥ pātālamāyayuḥ
Translation
that destroyer of the world, most fierce and of matchless valour, and the mighty Nishumbha, the remaining daityas went to Patala.

जगत का विध्वंस करने वाले, महाभयंकर, अतुल पराक्रमी उस शुम्भ और महाबली निशुम्भ के मारे जाने पर शेष दैत्य पाताल लोक में चले गए।
Commentary
The surviving demons are not destroyed but sent to Patala, the underworld, just as the Devi told them to go in 8.26.
