Durga Saptashati — Chapter 11, Verse 6

Devyah Stuti (Narayani Stuti)

vidyāḥ samastāstava devi bhedāḥ striyaḥ samastāḥ sakalā jagatsu tvayaikayā pūritamambayaitat kā te stutiḥ stavyaparā paroktiḥ

Translation

All forms of knowledge, O Devi, are aspects of you, and all women in all the worlds. By you alone, the Mother, this world is filled. What praise can there be for you, who are beyond all that can be praised, the supreme word?

Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)

Commentary

Striyah samastah sakala jagatsu: every woman in the world is a form of the Devi. This line is often quoted as the scriptural basis for honouring women and for Kanya Puja during Navaratri.
