Durga Saptashati — Chapter 11, Verse 31

Devyah Stuti (Narayani Stuti)

vidyāsu śhāstreṣhu vivekadīpe ṣhvādyeṣhu vākyeṣhu cha kā tvadanyā mamatvagarte’timahāndhakāre vibhrāmayatyetadatīva viśhvam

Translation

In the sciences, in the scriptures that are lamps of discernment, and in the primal words (the Vedas), who is there but you? And who but you makes this world wander endlessly in the pit of attachment, full of utter darkness?

Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)

Commentary

Again the two sides: she is the light of knowledge and the darkness of mamatva, "my-ness," which trapped Suratha and Samadhi in chapter 1.
