Translation
"O Devi, remover of the suffering of those who take refuge in you, be gracious! Be gracious, Mother of the whole world! Be gracious, Queen of the universe, protect the universe; you, O Devi, are the ruler of all that moves and does not move.
Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)
"शरणागत की पीड़ा हरने वाली देवि! प्रसन्न होओ। सम्पूर्ण जगत की माता! प्रसन्न होओ। विश्वेश्वरि! प्रसन्न होओ, विश्व की रक्षा करो। देवि! तुम्हीं चर और अचर जगत की अधीश्वरी हो।
Commentary
Devi prapannartihare prasida: one of the best-known verses of the Saptashati, often recited on its own as a prayer for refuge. The word prasida, "be gracious," is repeated three times.
