रोगानशेषानपहंसि तुष्टा रुष्टा तु कामान् सकलानभीष्टान् । त्वामाश्रितानां न विपन्नराणां त्वामाश्रिता ह्याश्रयतां प्रयान्ति ॥ २९ ॥
rogānaśheṣhānapahaṁsi tuṣhṭā ruṣhṭā tu kāmān sakalānabhīṣhṭān tvāmāśhritānāṁ na vipannarāṇāṁ tvāmāśhritā hyāśhrayatāṁ prayānti
Translation
When pleased, you destroy all diseases; when angered, all the desires one longs for. Those who have taken refuge in you meet no disaster; those who take refuge in you become a refuge for others.
Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)
तुम प्रसन्न होने पर सब रोगों को नष्ट कर देती हो और रुष्ट होने पर सब मनोवांछित कामनाओं का नाश कर देती हो। जो तुम्हारी शरण में हैं, उन पर विपत्ति नहीं आती; तुम्हारी शरण में गए मनुष्य दूसरों को शरण देने वाले बन जाते हैं।
Commentary
Roganasheshan apahamsi tushta: widely recited for healing. The last line is striking: those who shelter in her become shelters for others. Gita Press notes a variant, dadasi kaman ("you grant desires"), which changes the sense of the second line.
