भक्षयन्ती चर रणे तदुत्पन्नान्महासुरान् । एवमेष क्षयं दैत्यः क्षीणरक्तो गमिष्यति ॥ ५५ ॥
bhakṣhayantī chara raṇe tadutpannānmahāsurān evameṣha kṣhayaṁ daityaḥ kṣhīṇarakto gamiṣhyati
Translation
Roam the battlefield devouring the great asuras born from it; in this way the daitya, his blood exhausted, will perish.

उनसे उत्पन्न महादैत्यों को खाती हुई रणभूमि में विचरो; इस प्रकार रक्त क्षीण हो जाने पर वह दैत्य नष्ट हो जाएगा।
Commentary
Kshinarakto gamishyati, "with his blood exhausted, he will perish": the demon is defeated not by more force but by cutting off his source.
