देव्या यया ततमिदं जगदात्मशक्त्या निश्शेषदेवगणशक्तिसमूहमूर्त्या । तामम्बिकामखिलदेवमहर्षिपूज्यां भक्त्या नताः स्म विदधातु शुभानि सा नः ॥ ३ ॥
devyā yayā tatamidaṁ jagadātmaśhaktyā niśhśheṣhadevagaṇaśhaktisamūhamūrtyā tāmambikāmakhiladevamaharṣhipūjyāṁ bhaktyā natāḥ sma vidadhātu śhubhāni sā naḥ
Translation
"To that Ambika, who by her own power pervades this world, whose form is the sum of the powers of all the gods, worshipped by all gods and great sages, we bow in devotion. May she grant us what is auspicious.

"जिन देवी ने अपनी शक्ति से इस जगत को व्याप्त कर रखा है, सब देवताओं की शक्तियों का समूह ही जिनका स्वरूप है, सब देवताओं और महर्षियों की पूज्य उन अम्बिका को हम भक्तिपूर्वक नमस्कार करते हैं। वे हमारा कल्याण करें।
Commentary
The hymn begins by remembering how she was born: from the combined powers of all the gods (2.10–13). Now the gods bow to the power that was once their own, recognising it as greater than all of them together.
