दुर्वृत्तवृत्तशमनं तव देवि शीलं रूपं तथैतदविचिन्त्यमतुल्यमन्यैः । वीर्यं च हन्तृहृतदेवपराक्रमाणां वैरिष्वपि प्रकटितैव दया त्वयेत्थम् ॥ २१ ॥
durvṛittavṛittaśhamanaṁ tava devi śhīlaṁ rūpaṁ tathaitadavichintyamatulyamanyaiḥ vīryaṁ cha hantṛihṛitadevaparākramāṇāṁ vairiṣhvapi prakaṭitaiva dayā tvayettham
Translation
O Devi, your nature is to quell the conduct of the wicked; this form of yours is unthinkable and matchless; your might destroys those who had destroyed the gods' valour; in this way you have shown compassion even to your enemies.

हे देवि! आपका स्वभाव दुराचारियों के आचरण को शांत करना है; आपका यह रूप अचिंत्य और अतुलनीय है; आपका पराक्रम उनका भी नाश करता है जिन्होंने देवताओं के पराक्रम को नष्ट किया था; इस प्रकार आपने शत्रुओं पर भी दया ही प्रकट की है।
