Durga Saptashati — Chapter 12, Verse 37

Phala Stuti

tayaitanmohyate viśhvaṁ saiva viśhvaṁ prasūyate sā yāchitā cha vijñānaṁ tuṣhṭā ṛiddhiṁ prayachchhati

Translation

By her this world is deluded; she herself gives birth to the world. When prayed to and pleased, she grants knowledge and prosperity.

Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)

Commentary

Vijnana and riddhi: she grants both liberating knowledge and worldly prosperity. This will matter in chapter 13, where the merchant asks for the first and the king for the second.
