Translation
they said to the lotus-eyed Lord: "Kill us where the earth is not flooded with water."
Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)
उन्होंने कमलनयन भगवान से कहा: "हमें वहाँ मारो जहाँ पृथ्वी जल में डूबी न हो।"
Commentary
Since the whole world is water, they think they cannot be killed anywhere. Gita Press notes that many manuscripts add a line here in which the demons praise Vishnu's fighting.
