मृत्योरुत्क्रान्तिदा नाम शक्तिरीश त्वया हृता । पाशः सलिलराजस्य भ्रातुस्तव परिग्रहे ॥ ९८ ॥

You have taken Death's power called Utkrantida, O lord, and the noose of Varuna, lord of waters, is in your brother's possession.

Commentary
Utkrantida, "that which causes the life to depart," is Death's own power. The demons have taken even the power over death.
