Durga Saptashati — Chapter 5, Verse 94

Devi's Dialogue with the Messenger

ऐरावतः समानीतो गजरत्नं पुरन्दरात् । पारिजाततरुश्चायं तथैवोच्चैःश्रवा हयः ॥ ९४ ॥

airāvataḥ samānīto gajaratnaṁ purandarāt pārijātataruśhchāyaṁ tathaivochchaiḥśhravā hayaḥ

Translation

Airavata, the jewel among elephants, has been brought from Purandara, and this Parijata tree, and the horse Ucchaihshravas.

Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)

हाथियों में रत्न ऐरावत पुरंदर से लाया गया है, और यह पारिजात वृक्ष, और उच्चैःश्रवा घोड़ा भी।

Commentary

Airavata, the Parijata tree and Ucchaihshravas are treasures that came from the churning of the ocean of milk; all belonged to the gods.
