Durga Saptashati — Chapter 5, Verse 35–37

Devi's Dialogue with the Messenger

yā devī sarvabhūteṣhu tṛiṣhṇārūpeṇa saṁsthitā namastasyai namastasyai namastasyai namo namaḥ

Translation

To the Devi who dwells in all beings as thirst: salutation to her, salutation to her, salutation to her, salutation again and again.

Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)

Commentary

Trishna means both thirst and craving. Even desire, which the Gita warns against, is honoured here as part of her. The point is not to worship desire but to see that nothing, not even what binds us, exists apart from her.
