अन्येषामपि दैत्यानां सर्वे देवा न वै युधि । तिष्ठन्ति सम्मुखे देवि किं पुनः स्त्री त्वमेकिका ॥ १२४ ॥
anyeṣhāmapi daityānāṁ sarve devā na vai yudhi tiṣhṭhanti sammukhe devi kiṁ punaḥ strī tvamekikā
Translation
All the gods cannot stand before even the other daityas in battle, O Devi; how much less you, a woman alone?

हे देवि! सारे देवता युद्ध में अन्य दैत्यों के सामने भी नहीं ठहर सकते, फिर तुम अकेली स्त्री कैसे ठहरोगी?
Commentary
"A woman alone": the demons underestimate her because she is a woman. The whole third episode overturns this assumption.
