एवं दैत्येन्द्र रत्नानि समस्तान्याहृतानि ते । स्त्रीरत्नमेषा कल्याणी त्वया कस्मान्न गृह्यते ॥ १०० ॥
evaṁ daityendra ratnāni samastānyāhṛitāni te strīratnameṣhā kalyāṇī tvayā kasmānna gṛihyate
Translation
So all the jewels have been brought to you, lord of daityas. Why do you not take this auspicious jewel among women?"

दैत्यराज! इस प्रकार सब रत्न आपके पास लाए गए हैं। फिर इस कल्याणमयी स्त्रीरत्न को आप क्यों नहीं ले लेते?"

The logic of greed: having taken everything, why not take her too? It is exactly this reach for the divine as property that will destroy them.
