Durga Saptashati — Chapter 12, Verse 2

Phala Stuti

एभिः स्तवैश्च मां नित्यं स्तोष्यते यः समाहितः । तस्याहं सकलां बाधां नाशयिष्याम्यसंशयम् ॥ २ ॥

ebhiḥ stavaiśhcha māṁ nityaṁ stoṣhyate yaḥ samāhitaḥ tasyāhaṁ sakalāṁ bādhāṁ nāśhayiṣhyāmyasaṁśhayam

Translation

"Whoever, with a collected mind, praises me every day with these hymns, all his troubles I shall surely destroy.

Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)

"जो एकाग्रचित्त होकर प्रतिदिन इन स्तुतियों से मेरा स्तवन करेगा, उसकी सारी बाधा मैं निश्चय ही दूर कर दूँगी।

Commentary

Chapter 12 is the Phala Stuti, the Devi's own statement of the fruits of reciting the text. "These hymns" are commonly understood as the four great praises: Brahma's (ch. 1), the Shakradi Stuti (ch. 4), the Aparajita Stuti (ch. 5) and the Narayani Stuti (ch. 11). Gita Press notes a variant, shama-. Some editions title this chapter Bhagavati Vakyam, "the words of the Devi."
