Translation
"I alone exist here in the world; who else is there besides me? See, wicked one, these are my own powers entering back into me."
Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)
"इस संसार में मैं अकेली ही हूँ; मेरे सिवा दूसरी कौन है? देख दुष्ट! ये मेरी ही विभूतियाँ हैं, जो मुझमें ही प्रवेश कर रही हैं।"
Commentary
Ekaivaham jagatyatra, dvitiya ka mamapara, "I alone exist here; who is there second to me?" This is the philosophical climax of the battle story. All the goddesses (Kali, the Matrikas, Shivaduti) were never separate beings but the Devi's own powers (vibhutis), echoing the Upanishadic idea of one reality "without a second." Gita Press notes that some manuscripts add "the sage said" after this verse.
