निशुम्भो निशितं खड्गं चर्म चादाय सुप्रभम् । अताडयन्मूर्ध्नि सिंहं देव्या वाहनमुत्तमम् ॥ ११ ॥
niśhumbho niśhitaṁ khaḍgaṁ charma chādāya suprabham atāḍayanmūrdhni siṁhaṁ devyā vāhanamuttamam
Translation
Nishumbha, taking a sharp sword and a shining shield, struck the Devi's excellent mount, the lion, on the head.
