tato dhutasaṭaḥ kopātkṛitvā nādaṁ subhairavam papātāsurasenāyāṁ siṁho devyāḥ svavāhanaḥ
Translation
Then the Devi's own mount, the lion, shaking his mane in anger and roaring terribly, fell upon the asura army.

तब देवी का वाहन सिंह क्रोध से अयाल हिलाता हुआ, भयंकर गर्जना करके असुरों की सेना पर टूट पड़ा।
Commentary
The lion does most of the fighting in this chapter, a sign of how little effort the Devi needs.
