एतत्ते कथितं भूप देवीमाहात्म्यमुत्तमम् । एवंप्रभावा सा देवी ययेदं धार्यते जगत् ॥ २ ॥
etatte kathitaṁ bhūpa devīmāhātmyamuttamam evaṁprabhāvā sā devī yayedaṁ dhāryate jagat
Translation
"Thus I have told you, O king, this supreme glory of the Devi. Such is the power of that Devi by whom this world is upheld.

"राजन्! इस प्रकार मैंने तुमसे देवी के उत्तम माहात्म्य का वर्णन किया। जो इस जगत को धारण करती हैं, उन देवी का ऐसा ही प्रभाव है।
