Bhagavad Gita — Chapter 13, Verse 15

Kshetra Kshetrajna Vibhaga Yoga

bahir antaśh cha bhūtānām acharaṁ charam eva cha sūkṣhmatvāt tad avijñeyaṁ dūra-sthaṁ chāntike cha tat

Translation

It is outside and inside all beings, unmoving and also moving. Being subtle, it cannot be grasped; it is far away and also near.

Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)

Commentary

"Far and near" echoes the Isha Upanishad (verse 5): tad dure tad v antike. Brahman is far from those who look for it outside themselves, and nearer than anything to those who look within. It is avijneya, "not graspable," not because it is hidden but because it is too subtle to be taken as an object.
