Bhagavad Gita — Chapter 13, Verse 14

Kshetra Kshetrajna Vibhaga Yoga

sarvendriya-guṇābhāsaṁ sarvendriya-vivarjitam asaktaṁ sarva-bhṛich chaiva nirguṇaṁ guṇa-bhoktṛi cha

Translation

It shines through the functions of all the senses, yet is free of all the senses; unattached, yet it upholds everything; beyond the gunas, yet it experiences the gunas.

Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)

Commentary

This verse is built from paradoxes, and deliberately so. Brahman gives light to the senses without having senses, supports everything without clinging to it, and is beyond the three gunas while being their experiencer. Ordinary logic breaks here because Brahman is not one object among others.
