इच्छाद्वेषसमुत्थेन द्वन्द्वमोहेन भारत । सर्वभूतानि सम्मोहं सर्गे यान्ति परन्तप ॥ २७ ॥
ichchhā-dveṣha-samutthena dvandva-mohena bhārata sarva-bhūtāni sammohaṁ sarge yānti parantapa
Translation
O descendant of Bharat, all beings fall into delusion at birth through the confusion of the pairs of opposites, arising from desire and aversion, O scorcher of foes.

हे भरतवंशी परंतप! संसार में इच्छा और द्वेष से उत्पन्न सुख-दुख आदि द्वंद्व रूप मोह से संपूर्ण प्राणी अत्यंत अज्ञानता को प्राप्त हो रहे हैं।
Commentary
Why does the world not know God? Because from birth we are pulled back and forth by liking and disliking. That constant swing is the root of our confusion.
