दैवी ह्येषा गुणमयी मम माया दुरत्यया । मामेव ये प्रपद्यन्ते मायामेतां तरन्ति ते ॥ १४ ॥
daivī hyeṣhā guṇa-mayī mama māyā duratyayā mām eva ye prapadyante māyām etāṁ taranti te
Translation
This divine maya of mine, made of the gunas, is hard to cross; but those who take refuge in me alone cross over this maya.

मेरी यह त्रिगुणमयी दैवी माया बड़ी दुस्तर है; परंतु जो पुरुष केवल मेरी ही शरण लेते हैं, वे इस माया को पार कर जाते हैं।
Commentary
A central verse of the bhakti tradition. Maya — the power that makes us forget the Divine — is too strong to overcome by our own effort alone. The way across is surrender (prapatti) to God, the master of maya.
