त्रिभिर्गुणमयैर्भावैरेभिः सर्वमिदं जगत् । मोहितं नाभिजानाति मामेभ्यः परमव्ययम् ॥ १३ ॥
tribhir guṇa-mayair bhāvair ebhiḥ sarvam idaṁ jagat mohitaṁ nābhijānāti māmebhyaḥ param avyayam
Translation
Deluded by these three states made of the gunas, this whole world does not recognise me, who am beyond them and imperishable.

गुणों के कार्य रूप इन तीनों भावों से यह सारा संसार मोहित हो रहा है, इसलिए इन तीनों गुणों से परे मुझ अविनाशी को नहीं जानता।

The world is so absorbed in the play of the gunas — pleasure, activity, dullness — that it overlooks the one who stands behind them all.
