yuktāhāra-vihārasya yukta-cheṣhṭasya karmasu yukta-svapnāvabodhasya yogo bhavati duḥkha-hā
Translation
For one who is moderate in eating and recreation, balanced in effort at work, and moderate in sleep and waking, yoga becomes the destroyer of sorrow.
Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)
दुखों का नाश करने वाला योग तो यथायोग्य आहार-विहार करने वाले, कर्मों में यथायोग्य चेष्टा करने वाले, और यथायोग्य सोने-जागने वाले का ही सिद्ध होता है।
Commentary
Yukta — balanced, appropriate — appears four times. Food, rest, work and sleep, all in proportion. Many find this one of the most practical verses in the Gita: spiritual progress begins with a well-ordered daily life.
