यः सर्वत्रानभिस्नेहस्तत्तत्प्राप्य शुभाशुभम् । नाभिनन्दति न द्वेष्टि तस्य प्रज्ञा प्रतिष्ठिता ॥ ५७ ॥
yaḥ sarvatrānabhisnehas tat tat prāpya śhubhāśhubham nābhinandati na dveṣhṭi tasya prajñā pratiṣhṭhitā
Translation
One who is without attachment anywhere, who neither rejoices on getting what is pleasant nor resents what is unpleasant — that person's wisdom is firmly established.

जो सर्वत्र आसक्ति-रहित है, और शुभ या अशुभ जो भी प्राप्त हो उससे न प्रसन्न होता है न द्वेष करता है — उसकी बुद्धि स्थिर है।
Commentary
"Neither rejoices nor resents" does not mean feeling nothing. It means not being carried away: good fortune does not inflate the ego, and bad fortune does not embitter the heart. The person remains available for the next right action.
