duḥkheṣhv-anudvigna-manāḥ sukheṣhu vigata-spṛihaḥ vīta-rāga-bhaya-krodhaḥ sthita-dhīr munir uchyate
Translation
One whose mind is not shaken in sorrow, who has no craving in pleasure, and who is free from attachment, fear and anger — that sage is called steady in wisdom.
Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)
Commentary
Krishna names three emotions that the steady sage is free from: rāga (attachment), bhaya (fear) and krodha (anger). They are linked — we fear losing what we are attached to, and become angry when it is threatened. Remove attachment, and the other two lose their fuel.
