अर्जुन उवाच । स्थितप्रज्ञस्य का भाषा समाधिस्थस्य केशव । स्थितधीः किं प्रभाषेत किमासीत व्रजेत किम् ॥ ५४ ॥

Translation
Arjun said: O Keshav, what are the marks of one whose wisdom is steady, who is established in samadhi? How does such a person speak, how do they sit, how do they move?

अर्जुन बोले: हे केशव! स्थितप्रज्ञ, समाधि में स्थित पुरुष के क्या लक्षण हैं? वह स्थिर बुद्धि वाला कैसे बोलता है, कैसे बैठता है, कैसे चलता है?
Commentary
Arjun's first question since becoming a disciple — and a very practical one. He wants to know what a sthita-prajña, a person of steady wisdom, actually looks like in daily life. Krishna's answer (verses 55–72) is one of the most loved passages of the Gita; Mahatma Gandhi recited it at his daily prayers.
