भोगैश्वर्यप्रसक्तानां तयापहृतचेतसाम् । व्यवसायात्मिका बुद्धिः समाधौ न विधीयते ॥ ४४ ॥
bhogaiśwvarya-prasaktānāṁ tayāpahṛita-chetasām vyavasāyātmikā buddhiḥ samādhau na vidhīyate
Translation
For those attached to pleasure and power, whose minds are carried away by such words, a resolute understanding fixed in meditation does not arise.

भोग और ऐश्वर्य में आसक्त, उस वाणी से जिनका चित्त हर लिया गया है, उनकी बुद्धि समाधि में निश्चयात्मक नहीं होती।
Commentary
This completes the thought: a mind busy with worldly goals, even religious ones, cannot become the steady, single-pointed intellect of verse 41. Krishna is diagnosing why so many sincere people remain restless despite much religious activity.
