नेहाभिक्रमनाशोऽस्ति प्रत्यवायो न विद्यते । स्वल्पमप्यस्य धर्मस्य त्रायते महतो भयात् ॥ ४० ॥
nehābhikrama-nāśho ’sti pratyavāyo na vidyate svalpam apyasya dharmasya trāyate mahato bhayāt
Translation
On this path no effort is ever lost, and no harm results. Even a little of this practice protects one from great fear.

इस मार्ग में आरंभ किए गए प्रयास का नाश नहीं होता, न उल्टा फल होता है। इस धर्म का थोड़ा-सा पालन भी बड़े भय से रक्षा करता है।
Commentary
One of the Gita's most encouraging verses. Unlike a ritual that fails if done imperfectly, even a small beginning in selfless action is never wasted. For anyone who feels they could never be "spiritual enough," this verse says: start anywhere; nothing is lost.
