Bhagavad Gita — Chapter 2, Verse 39

eṣhā te ’bhihitā sānkhye buddhir yoge tvimāṁ śhṛiṇu buddhyā yukto yayā pārtha karma-bandhaṁ prahāsyasi

Translation

This understanding has been taught to you in terms of Sankhya; now hear it in terms of Yoga — endowed with which, O Parth, you will cast off the bondage of action.

Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)

Commentary

A clear signpost. Verses 11–30 were Sankhya — knowledge of the nature of the self. From here Krishna teaches Yoga — how to act in the world with that knowledge, so that action no longer binds. Many consider this transition the true beginning of the Gita's distinctive message.
