अव्यक्तादीनि भूतानि व्यक्तमध्यानि भारत । अव्यक्तनिधनान्येव तत्र का परिदेवना ॥ २८ ॥

Translation
Beings are unmanifest in their beginning, manifest in their middle, and unmanifest again at their end, O descendant of Bharat. Why lament over this?

Commentary
We do not grieve that a person did not exist in visible form before birth; why then grieve that they will not exist in visible form after death? Life is a brief appearance between two unseen states. The image invites a gentler view of mortality.
