अहङ्कारं बलं दर्पं कामं क्रोधं च संश्रिताः । मामात्मपरदेहेषु प्रद्विषन्तोऽभ्यसूयकाः ॥ १८ ॥
ahankāraṁ balaṁ darpaṁ kāmaṁ krodhaṁ cha sanśhritāḥ mām ātma-para-deheṣhu pradviṣhanto ’bhyasūyakāḥ
Translation
Given over to ego, force, arrogance, desire and anger, these envious people hate Me, who dwell in their own bodies and in the bodies of others.

अहंकार, बल, घमंड, काम और क्रोध के आश्रित होकर, दूसरों के गुणों में दोष देखने वाले वे लोग अपने और दूसरों के शरीर में स्थित मुझ परमात्मा से द्वेष करते हैं।
Commentary
A profound point: to hate another person is to hate God, who dwells in them. It is also to hate the God within oneself. Cruelty to others is spiritually self-destructive, a truth that 13.28 stated from the other side.
