Bhagavad Gita — Chapter 6, Verse 20

यत्रोपरमते चित्तं निरुद्धं योगसेवया । यत्र चैवात्मनात्मानं पश्यन्नात्मनि तुष्यति ॥ २० ॥

yatroparamate chittaṁ niruddhaṁ yoga-sevayā yatra chaivātmanātmānaṁ paśhyann ātmani tuṣhyati

Translation

When the mind, restrained by the practice of yoga, comes to rest, and when, seeing the Self by the self, one is content in the Self —

योग के अभ्यास से निरुद्ध चित्त जिस अवस्था में उपराम हो जाता है, और जिस अवस्था में परमात्मा के ध्यान से शुद्ध हुई बुद्धि द्वारा परमात्मा को साक्षात् करता हुआ वह आत्मा में ही संतुष्ट रहता है —

Commentary

Verses 20–23 describe the fruit of meditation as a single experience. Here: the mind becomes still (uparamate), and in that stillness one "sees the Self by the self" and is content.
