Bhagavad Gita — Chapter 5, Verse 8

नैव किञ्चित्करोमीति युक्तो मन्येत तत्त्ववित् । पश्यञ्शृण्वन्स्पृशञ्जिघ्रन्नश्नन्गच्छन्स्वपञ्श्वसन् ॥ ८ ॥

naiva kiñchit karomīti yukto manyeta tattva-vit paśhyañ śhṛiṇvan spṛiśhañjighrann aśhnangachchhan svapañśhvasan

Translation

"I do nothing at all," thinks the one who is steady and knows the truth — while seeing, hearing, touching, smelling, eating, walking, sleeping, breathing,

तत्त्व को जानने वाला योगी देखता, सुनता, स्पर्श करता, सूँघता, खाता, चलता, सोता और साँस लेता हुआ भी यही माने कि "मैं कुछ भी नहीं करता" —

Commentary

Verses 8–9 list ordinary activities of daily life. The knower of truth does all of them, yet inwardly holds the understanding that the self is the witness, not the doer — the senses are simply doing their natural work.
