तद्बुद्धयस्तदात्मानस्तन्निष्ठास्तत्परायणाः । गच्छन्त्यपुनरावृत्तिं ज्ञाननिर्धूतकल्मषाः ॥ १७ ॥
tad-buddhayas tad-ātmānas tan-niṣhṭhās tat-parāyaṇāḥ gachchhantyapunar-āvṛittiṁ jñāna-nirdhūta-kalmaṣhāḥ
Translation
Those whose intellect is in That, whose self is in That, who are devoted to That and hold That as their supreme goal, reach the state from which there is no return, their impurities washed away by knowledge.
Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)
जिनका मन और बुद्धि उसी में लगी है, जो उसी में स्थित और उसी के परायण हैं, ऐसे ज्ञान द्वारा पाप-रहित हुए पुरुष अपुनरावृत्ति (फिर जन्म न लेने की अवस्था) को प्राप्त होते हैं।
Commentary
The fourfold repetition of "tat" (That) shows complete absorption: intellect, self, commitment and goal all rest in the Supreme. From such a state there is apunarāvṛitti — no return to the cycle of rebirth.
