युक्तः कर्मफलं त्यक्त्वा शान्तिमाप्नोति नैष्ठिकीम् । अयुक्तः कामकारेण फले सक्तो निबध्यते ॥ १२ ॥
yuktaḥ karma-phalaṁ tyaktvā śhāntim āpnoti naiṣhṭhikīm ayuktaḥ kāma-kāreṇa phale sakto nibadhyate
Translation
The steady one, giving up the fruit of action, attains lasting peace; the unsteady one, driven by desire and attached to the fruit, is bound.

कर्मयोगी कर्मों के फल का त्याग करके स्थायी शांति को प्राप्त होता है; और सकाम पुरुष कामना की प्रेरणा से फल में आसक्त होकर बँधता है।
Commentary
The same action can bring peace or bondage depending on attitude. Naiṣhṭhikīṁ śhāntim — steady, rooted peace — belongs to the one who lets go of the fruit.
