ब्रह्मण्याधाय कर्माणि सङ्गं त्यक्त्वा करोति यः । लिप्यते न स पापेन पद्मपत्रमिवाम्भसा ॥ १० ॥
brahmaṇyādhāya karmāṇi saṅgaṁ tyaktvā karoti yaḥ lipyate na sa pāpena padma-patram ivāmbhasā
Translation
One who acts offering all actions to Brahman, abandoning attachment, is not touched by sin, just as a lotus leaf is not wetted by water.

जो पुरुष सब कर्मों को परमात्मा में अर्पित करके और आसक्ति त्यागकर कर्म करता है, वह जल से कमल के पत्ते की भाँति पाप से लिप्त नहीं होता।
Commentary
The famous lotus-leaf image. The lotus grows in water and its leaves rest on it, yet water rolls off without soaking in. So the devotee lives fully in the world, yet its stains do not cling.
