द्रव्ययज्ञास्तपोयज्ञा योगयज्ञास्तथापरे । स्वाध्यायज्ञानयज्ञाश्च यतयः संशितव्रताः ॥ २८ ॥
dravya-yajñās tapo-yajñā yoga-yajñās tathāpare swādhyāya-jñāna-yajñāśh cha yatayaḥ sanśhita-vratāḥ
Translation
Some offer wealth as sacrifice, some austerity, some the practice of yoga; and others, ascetics of strict vows, offer study of scripture and knowledge.

कुछ लोग द्रव्य-संबंधी यज्ञ करने वाले हैं, कुछ तपस्या रूपी यज्ञ करने वाले, कुछ योग रूपी यज्ञ करने वाले, और कुछ कठोर व्रत वाले साधक स्वाध्याय और ज्ञान रूपी यज्ञ करने वाले हैं।
Commentary
A wonderfully inclusive list: giving wealth (charity), austerity, yoga practice, and study of scripture are all forms of yajna. Different temperaments find different ways to offer their lives upward.
