तत्त्ववित्तु महाबाहो गुणकर्मविभागयोः । गुणा गुणेषु वर्तन्त इति मत्वा न सज्जते ॥ २८ ॥
tattva-vit tu mahā-bāho guṇa-karma-vibhāgayoḥ guṇā guṇeṣhu vartanta iti matvā na sajjate
Translation
But one who knows the truth about the divisions of the qualities and their functions, O mighty-armed one, understanding that "the gunas are acting on the gunas," does not become attached.
Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)
परंतु हे महाबाहो! गुण-विभाग और कर्म-विभाग के तत्त्व को जानने वाला ज्ञानी पुरुष "गुण ही गुणों में बरत रहे हैं" ऐसा मानकर उनमें आसक्त नहीं होता।
Commentary
"Guṇā guṇeṣhu vartante" — the senses (products of the gunas) are moving among sense objects (also products of the gunas). Seeing this, the wise person watches the play of nature without being caught in it.
