प्रकृतेः क्रियमाणानि गुणैः कर्माणि सर्वशः । अहङ्कारविमूढात्मा कर्ताहमिति मन्यते ॥ २७ ॥
prakṛiteḥ kriyamāṇāni guṇaiḥ karmāṇi sarvaśhaḥ ahankāra-vimūḍhātmā kartāham iti manyate
Translation
All actions are performed entirely by the qualities of nature; but one whose mind is deluded by ego thinks, "I am the doer."

सब कर्म सब प्रकार से प्रकृति के गुणों द्वारा किए जाते हैं; परंतु अहंकार से मोहित अंतःकरण वाला पुरुष "मैं कर्ता हूँ" ऐसा मानता है।
Commentary
A deep philosophical point. Body, senses and mind act according to the gunas of nature; the self is the witness. Ego (ahaṅkāra) makes us claim "I did this," and that claim is what binds us to success and failure.
