lobhaḥ pravṛittir ārambhaḥ karmaṇām aśhamaḥ spṛihā rajasy etāni jāyante vivṛiddhe bharatarṣhabha
Translation
Greed, activity, the undertaking of works, restlessness and craving: these arise when rajas grows strong, O best of the Bharatas.
Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ)
Commentary
The signs of rajas are easy to recognise: wanting more (lobha), being always busy (pravritti), starting new projects (arambha), not being able to settle (ashama) and longing (spriha). None of these is evil in itself, but together they keep the mind outward-turned and never at rest.
